Senior Formal

a.k.a. PROM

I never thought I'de ever go to another prom, but here I am sitting at my computer at 1:10am and posting pictures from a fun and festive night...only a few for now, I've got to go through the rest of my 80 pictures to find ones that are appropriate. HA! just kidding...but I really do have to sort through them.

Matt, me and Cheng, my clinic friends who I've spent the last two years working with, side by side.

Giao, Marianna and Me...old roommates.  I find myself missing our times together...late night talks and potlucks.  They'll always be some of my favorite memories here in NYC.

James, Me and Giao. I like this picture. Check out those center pieces...yeah, it was amazing...probably nicer than my wedding center pieces will be. haha. =)

A Year with Frog and Toad

Perhaps you've read the story when you were in 6th grade. I know that I did.  So when my friend Evan landed the lead role in a small stage production I made sure to band together some of my dearest friends to support him!!!

Justin and Rebecca, Ricky and Hannah

Evan is all the way to the right. He was Frog.  He did an amazing job.  His story is one of preserverance and faith, as a struggling actor in New York City.  I know in my hearts of hearts that he is destined for broadway, something big.

These people hold a special place in my heart.  They are real people, all around my age, living life in the city.  They live loud and laugh louder.  These are the things I will miss about New York City, these are the people that I will miss the most...

Yankee Stadium and Boat Cruise

Today's festivities started off with all university commencement at Yankee Stadium!!! It's a new facility and absolutely gorgeous. Honestly, it's the nicest stadium I've been in, but I hear the Met's one is better. =) Anyways, me, Krista and Darlene decided to go as guests and not as graduates because we didn't want to dress up...we just wanted to hear Hillary Clinton (our secretary of state!!!) speak.

Yankee Stadium, NYU Class of 2009 REPRESENT!!!

Former first lady, NY Senator, Secretary of State...she's got such as great resume!!!

Me at Yankee Stadium! It was a beautiful day!!!

Krista, Darlene and Me. We were sitting in the nose bleed section, but it's all good.

Then later that day, the NYU College of Dentistry Alumni Association held a boat cruise for all graduating seniors like they do every year!!! We've come full circle because they welcome us to dental school with a boat cruise and say good bye with a boat cruise.  Of course they promote Alumni giving as much as possible. HELLOOOOOO!!!

Me, Elaine, Janice and Michelle...We're on a boat!!!

Marie, Giao and me...we're on a boat!!!

I actually took a total of 80 pictures today, but I thought I'de spare you the details and the faces of all the people that I've gotten to know over the last 4 years...and as much as I liked being on a boat, I still feel that rocking feeling (like I'm still on a boat) and I'm not loving it.

Tomorrow is my last cavity before I'm officially done with requirements!!! Hoping everything goes smoothly tomorrow so that I have a real reason to celebrate.

Grad Alley

Oh my gosh, the graduation hoopla is never ending! As much as I want to celebrate this joyous occasion, there is such a thing as celebration burn out. Not that I'm complaining, per se. I'm just saying.

Congratulations Class of 2009 banner hanging off the jowl of Bobst library, my weekend retreat and study prison...my productivity skyrocketed in this dungeon of a building...I might actually miss it now that I think about it.

gradalley1

Giao, me and Yvonne. Stupid boys, trix are for kids.

gradalley2

Me and Giao.  This is the first graduation thing that Giao has come out to and I was so happy that she was there!  Perhaps it's my own distance from the rest of NYU that is frustrating my celebratory attitude.  I was glad to be hanging with Giao because with her there, it's always a better party!

gradalley3

Only at NYU do we serve Knishes as a part of the menu. Kinishes. Yes, I bet you Californians don't know what it is. haha.

gradalleyknish2

My first Knish! Not so delish...but I'm not complaining.

Tomorrow: NYU all university commencement at Yankee Stadium and NYUCD Alumni Boat Cruise!

Senior Clinic Party

Every year Dr. C (my group practice director) Dr. Peltz and Dr. Studley throw a clinic party for their seniors at a Mexican restaurant.  Here is a photo play by play:

4CD-B Represent!!! Dr. C is in the middle.  Truth be told, I am so incredibly glad that he is my clinic director.  He has amazing management skills and is one of the reasons why I survived NYUCD. Thank you, Dr. C!!!

clinicparty2

Sandeep, me and Cheng. These two are like best buds in clinic, they are also the most chill dudes in clinic. I go to them to find my zen.

clinicparty1

Me and Russ!!! He is totally encouraging, totally positive and it is my honor to say I've worked with him.

clinicparty3

4CD-B girls! Holla.

clinicparty4

Kinjel, me, Pinki and Fairy.  Kinjel and I were first year roommates! How time flies!!!
